Robbie Williams - "You Know Me" Music Video

On November 17th, Robbie Williams will release "Reality Killed The Video Star", his 8th studio album. The lead single is called "Bodies" and is an instant classic and hit. The second single from the album is a great song called "You Know Me".

I really like the song. It took a few listens to really grow on me, but it did. It also got stuck in my head for a long time. It is a slow ballad, but has a great 50's vibe to it. I can hear it playing in a diner with poodle skirts and the sort. The video is really bizzare, but it works. It is entertaining, and it has Robbie Williams dressed as a giant bunny! How awesome is that! It is really different and somewhat creepy, but I half expect that from Robbie. He is always pushing boundaries, and sometimes he gets it wrong, but I think he delivers on "You Know Me" and the video.

Boyz II Men and Nadine Coyle - Back For Good

Boyz II Men are about to release their 9th studio album, called "Love" on the 16th of November in the UK, and the 17th for the US. The album will have 12 covers of love songs from artists such as: The Beatles, Bonnie Raitt, Journey, Sam Cooke, Cyndi Lauper, and Take That. The UK has an additional version of the Take That song "Back For Good" featuring Nadine Coyle from Girls Aloud.

My opinion: I really like the original by Take That and it will take something special to top that version, and this falls short. I really like the vocals by Boyz II Men and think Nadine Coyle is amazing, but it just doesn't work. I don't think their voices match or work together. I feel as though they took two artists that did the song separately, and mashed it together. It doesn't sound like there is any chemistry between the two. It honestly sounds like a mess. The harmonizing just doesn't work for me. I would prefer it if Nadine Coyle sang the whole thing.

Robbie Williams is BACK! And it's about time.

Robbie Williams is only 35 years old, but has been making music for the past 20 years. He left the successful boy band Take That in 1995 to launch a very successful solo career. Robbie has sold more albums in the UK than any other solo British artist. He has 10 BRIT awards, which is more than anyone else. He has sold 55 million albums worldwide, and sold 1.6 million concert tickets for his 2006 World Tour in ONE day. In 2004 he earned the title of Greatest Artist of the 1990s in the UK Music Hall of Fame. He has 6 of the top 100 best selling albums in the UK. Robbie has released 7 studio albums (all of which made it to #1 on the charts), 1 live album, 37 singles, and 8 live DVD concerts.

But for most Americans, Robbie Williams is relatively unknown. You may remember his beautiful ballad, "Angels" which reached #53 on the charts in 1997, or "Millenium" which made it to #72 in 1998.

And I admit that I have all 7 albums, most of his concert DVDs, and two of his books! I am eagerly waiting album 8, "Reality Killed The Video Star" which will be released in the UK on the 9th of November. His last two albums were not as impressive as his earlier efforts, but "Reality Killed The Video Star" looks very promising. After the last two albums, Robbie took a break from the music industry, but he is back. And his first single, "Bodies" is already a hit and will soon be a classic. He performed it on last Sunday's X-Factor results show - take a look:

There are certain songs that are epic. Songs that, after one listen, you know will stay with you and haunt you. Robbie Williams is a master at creating such songs, although the US has never given him a chance or the credit he deserves.

After two lukewarm albums, Robbie is not only back, but back to prove he still has it; the charm, charisma, lyrics, and haunting vocals. And he delivers.



"Bodies" is Robbie at his best. It has elements of "Feel", "Better Man" and "Angel", but with a hint of "Love Somebody" and "No Regrets".

I've been a fan of Robbie since I first heard "Angels" and cannot wait to hear his new album, "Reality Killed The Video Star" when it is released in the UK on the 9th of November.



And as you may have figured, there will be plenty of Robbie's classics highlighted on our musical journey.
