Jay-Z and Alicia Keys - "Empire State of Mind" Music Video

"Empire State of Mind" by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys is one of my favorite songs right now. I can't help but smile and sing it every single time I hear it. And now we have a music video to go along with it. Enjoy.

I wonder if they will release a sing-a-long version with the lyrics and a Yankee cap bouncing back and forth?

Jay-Z and Alicia Keys - "Empire State of Mind" @ World Series Game 2

I'm not a big fan of baseball, but the World Series does have great performances. At game 2 yesterday, Jay-Z and Alicia Keys performed "Empire State of Mind" at Yankee Stadium. All the pieces fell into place - two New York native superstars performing at one of New York's iconic venues and a song about New York that even mentions the Yankee baseball cap. And the Yankees were able to pull off the win, tying the series. It was all about New York. But enough about baseball, here's the performance.

Now that is the Alicia Keys I know and love. Hopefully there is more of that to come!

(There is another game on Saturday, and I'm really excited to hear the cast of Glee sing the Anthem!)

Earlier this month, I posted some clips from the video shoot for "Empire State of Mind" by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys. And we have a sneak peak at the video:

Alicia Keys is ready to take over MTV and BET with her videos. On Monday I posted pictures of Alicia Keys on the set of her video for "Doesn't Mean A Thing". And Now Alicia is in New York, shooting the music video for "Empire State of Mind" with Jay-Z. The song is the second single off his album, The Blueprint 3.

I can't wait to see the finished product. It's a great song. Alicia Keys looks stunning behind the piano. As you can tell by the crowd, this song has a great chorus and is one that you'll be singing with your friends, strangers and large crowds. I'm sure the song and video will get plenty of airplay.

Jay Z (Ft Bridget Kelly) - Empire State of Mind

While I am a fan of Jay-Z, I'm a mega huge fan of Alicia Keys. I was super excited to hear that they were doing a duet for Jay-Z's last album. And I was not wrong, the song "Empire State of Mind" is amazing, as I'm sure you all have heard.

But I was pleasantly surprised by Bridget Kelly. She is on tour with Jay-Z and does Alicia's parts in the song at a talk show in the UK called Friday Night with Jonathan Ross. Like I said, I'm a big fan of Alicia Keys, but whoa! Bridget Kelly is amazing! I mean, if Jay-Z asks you to fill in for Alicia Keys, you've got to be good, right?
